Excellent question Strider! At 12:30 you can see how we did it. We actually did real Overdrill modless, but I kept my camera stationary at times so that I could overlay empty footage on top of the assault banners whenever they appeared, hiding all the cops and assault that were happening in real time.

Hey GoldenPig! That would be very very interesting. Although from a quick look at my database of screenshots, it seems like the loose items in the boxes are being chosen completely randomly, so there is no hint being given by those :(

Indeed! Even though the game has been around for so long, there are still secrets to be discovered, and all it takes is someone interested in that to find all these nice improvements and timesaves :D

@@Marcmb yeah, I hate it. Also, I can never ever do the laser achievement, even on normal. The fact that you are limited by 2 factors(npc's and lasers) makes it so hard

Haha that was quite a lot of screenshots yup. The idea of analyzing (and obtaining) the database would've taken quite a while, but it wasn't too bad because we had access to 4 walls of deposits for every infamy rotation we played :D

Nothing wrong with playing on Death Wish yup! I personally really enjoyed the challenge of the DSOD mask back in the day, so since then I've played only DSOD when I play loud. But I do prefer stealth a lot more, so that's what I play 99% of the time :D

@@Marcmb 0:21 will very end, all because we need poison guard inside of security gate and we need kill/histages guard on good spots without using body case but we do not only kill last guard who got poisoned.

@@Shadow_Sold1er That's OK! Check out my recent video where I kill all guards at the front, and just escape with 4 bags (and bus escape) for 75% of the XP reward (leaving 20 bags behind) but completed in 6 to 8 minutes!

Excellent question Danilkin, very well thought out! Here is the reason why this option wouldn't work, and it really complicates a lot more the optimization that was done: each pattern has a total of 5 boxes, BUT the amount of loot bags that actually spawn (on each deposit wall) is only 3 to 5. That means there's a chance for some boxes, belonging to any given pattern, to be empty anyway. This applies to "box #4": even though it belongs to pattern 3, there is a chance it'll be empty regardless, and you'll gain no information from it. LUCKILY the 5 boxes within each pattern always fill up in the same order, meaning that 3 specific boxes in each pattern of 5 are guaranteed to be full regardless of your luck, and so those are the only boxes that can actually be used to obtain information from the pattern, because the 4th and 5th box of each pattern would give unreliable information :D

Oooh very interesting thought mistah GVZ! Some additional hints to locate the correct PC would be fantastic, especially for solo play, because the sound / flashing system for soloing is extremely lackluster, compared to duo. Unfortunately no one has ever noticed such a thing (even looking at the editor), so it might not exist... but at least there have been some improvements in techniques to use sound from a long distance to narrow down the location of the PC, which is already something :D

Hmm that could be an interesting video! My current plan is to have more time soon (during the summer) and do some livestreams with that free time, so this heist tier list could be a nice thing to do live on stream someday...

Most likely it's been a thing since the heist released yup! Very rarely the devs go in to change details like this... but I would need to downpatch to be sure!

Hey Gilby! That is very unlucky... there is an extremely low chance for outside guards to path inside the warehouse, or Murkies to path outside through the container yard. But this is extremely rare, and also can only happen whenever the door connecting the basement and the docks is opened (random chance).

@@Marcmb he didn't go through that door. He went around the container yard and then went inside the warehouse

@@gilby_6543 That's one way for it to happen yup. What I meant is that, if he had continued walking (without seeing the open vault) then he would have walked through the open exit door, because the guard pathfinding forces him to walk a looping path that starts and ends in his natural area. That's why if you the small exit doors are closed (random chance) it is impossible for this to happen.

It was hiding in plain sight for so long! Really nice that we know this now, though :D Since the vault always spawns with 2 walls of deposit boxes, the pattern is chosen randomly for each wall: can be the same one, or different one!

It does take some effort at first haha :D But there's only 6 different patterns and the 1st lootbag out of 5 is always found for free during the process, so it's not too bad!

Hey there Cotton! I didn't think about that, it does make sense to still want to open everything for the max money reward :p However some of us are addicted to XP farming, so we don't mind leaving some loose cash behind, in exchange for better efficiency! The devs keep dropping the ball and not giving small XP rewards for cumulative loose cash...

@@Marcmb XP for loose cash would make golden grin so broken! I can only imagine how little xp they'd have to give to make it balanced there...

@@cottoneyejoe8285 They would definitely need to think about the balance yup, to avoid breaking some systems. Probably something like 0.1% of the loose cash is given as base XP, or something along those lines...

Absolutely yeah! In fact, that custom heist you mention was made by the mapper Javgarag, same person I mentioned here when I was explaining the discovery, and how he got the answer through BeardLib :D The Steam guide / custom practice map just came out a lot earlier than the video!

The console situation is very sad yup :( So many missing heists, updates, game changes... and they have confirmed they will never go back and update, so for those who don't have access to a PC there is no solution.
